Cresthaven Ski Club Adventures

Our NY ski club offers real value, fun filled ski weekend adventures. Imagine traveling to some of New England's and Canada's prestigious ski resorts for a weekend and not worrying about the stress of driving there yourself.

A typical weekend excursion starts when you board a luxury coach bus at one of two convenient pick up locations. These pickup locations are located so that skiers from Suffolk county do not need to drive into Queens and ski club members from Queens do not need to drive to Suffolk county. The ski clubs typical pick up locations are the Park and Drive on the north side of the expressway at Route 110, Huntington NY and the other is queens at the Reception House at 16-17 Northern Blvd, Flushing, NY. Remember to please check the trip pages to verify pick up locations and pick up times as they do vary. To find a listing of our weekend adventures for this year.

After everyone is loaded onto the luxury coach bus we travel to our weekend destination.
The following is a list of some of the ski destinations the ski club likes:

  • Vermont Ski Areas: Ascutney Mountain Resort, Bolton Valley Resort, Bromley Mountain, Killington, Magic Mountain, Mad River Glen, Mount Snow, Okemo Resort, Pico Mountain, Stowe Mountain, Stratton Mountain, Smugglers Notch, Sugarbush Resort, Jay Peak
  • New Hampshire Ski Areas: Mount Sunapee, Attitash, Cannon Mountain, Cranmore Mountain, Loon Mountain, Waterville Valley, Wildcat Mountain

Typically a weekend trip includes a party on the bus trip up, two nights of  lodging, 2 breakfasts, Saturday evening dinner and a box lunch on the return trip. Each trip page on our website outlines the full trip features and cost. There are accomidations for both singles and couples for every trip Cresthaven Ski Club runs.
The club does participate in ski races but this is not a prerequisite to go on these trips. The ski races are fun NASTAR course races, they include entry categories for all ages and ability levels. These race weekends are usually scheduled along with the LISAC and/or MET council ski ski weekends. All the trips are friendly and the skiing is great.
Cresthaven Ski Club are members of the Metropolitan Ski Council (MET council) and Long Island Ski Association (LISAC).

Ski and Snowboard Safety Tip

One of the best skiing safety tips is really a matter of personal choice - to wear, or not to wear, a helmet while skiing and snowboarding. Cresthaven Ski Club and both the NSP (National Ski Patrol) and the PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) (eastern division) encourage and promote wearing a helmet while skiing or snowboarding.

So stay safe; wear a helmet while skiing or boarding.
